Defines the type of job that determines which fields are exposed in a job definition. The value of the job type is usually based on the platform for the job run. Jobs defined as Dummy provide instructions for Control-M such as post-processing actions. The appropriate job template with Job Type must be selected from the job palette, or you can change the Job Type if you have not yet saved the job. The following Job Types identify the relevant job fields for jobs that run on particular platforms or for jobs that perform Control-M actions:

NOTE: The Control-M Reporting Facility was replaced by Control-M Reports since version 9.0.18, and this job type has been deprecated. OS2200 |
Supports running jobs on other platforms, and enables you to submit jobs for execution on the agent platform, monitor the jobs, and perform post-processing analysis of output files. The completion status of jobs and the results of post-processing analysis are transmitted to the Control-M/Server. |
