Adding an SAP interception criteria definition

This procedure describes how to add an SAP interception criteria definition.

To add an SAP interception criteria definition:

  1. From the CCM, right-click the Control-M for SAP on the host that you want to manage, and select Extractor Management.

The Extractor Management dialog box appears.

  2. In the Extractor Definitions area, in the Connection Profile Name field, select the required Connection Profile Name.
  3. In the SAP Interception Criteria tab, click Load.

The SAP interception criteria table for the selected connection profile name is loaded.

  4. Click Add.

The Add SAP Interception Criteria dialog box appears.

  5. In the Job Name field, type the name of the SAP job that will be intercepted and then extracted from SAP to Control-M. The job name must begin with a letter and without any blanks. The asterisk "*" wildcard can be used.
  6. In the User field, define the SAP user that created the job. The asterisk "*" wildcard can be used.

NOTE: Consider how you specify Job Name and User Name criteria. Definitions that are too general (for example, entering * in both fields), could cause system or other user jobs to be intercepted. Additionally, ensure that you have no more than one connection profile that uses Interception rules using the same system and client.

  7. Click OK.

The new SAP interception criteria definition is created.
