Defining a SAP Data Archiving job
The following procedures describe how to define SAP Data Archiving to write a job, detect a delete job or detect a store job.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have met the following requirements:
To define SAP Data Archiving a job:
- From the Connection Profile field, click
.The Connection Profile Selection dialog box appears.
- Select the connection profile that you want to use, and click OK.
- From the Action dropdown list, select one of the following:
- write job
- Detect delete job
- Detect store job
- For each field, type or select the required value, as described in SAP Data Archiving parameters.
- For additional options, click SAP- More and do the following:
- Write Job (only): Do the following:
- To add any print parameters, click Open Print Parameters and add any parameters as required, as described in Print parameters.
- If you want to detect spawned jobs, select the checkbox and add parameters as required, as described in Detect Spawned Jobs.
- In the Copy Spool file field, type the name and path of the file, which the spool should be copied. For more information, see Copy Spool to.
Continue to define the job, as described in Using Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M.
NOTE: For detecting a delete and store job only, the job definition is used for defining further SAP Archiving jobs.
