Importing the SAP Calendar

This procedure describes how to import the SAP calendar from your SAP computer to your Control-M environment for use when defining batch jobs. Only SAP factory calendars can be imported.

Before you begin

Ensure you have the following Control-M/EM user permissions in CCM:

To use the Import SAP Calendar Manager, your SAP system version should be PI_BASIS 2002_2_62- or later.

To import the SAP Calendar:

  1. In the Control-M Configuration Manager, select the Control-M for SAP on the host that you want to manage and right-click Import SAP Calendar.

    The Import SAP Calendar dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the Calendar to Import area, for each field set the fields, as described in the Import SAP Calendar parameters, Calendar to Import area.
  3. In the Control-M Definitions area, for each field define the required value as described in Import SAP Calendar parameters, Control-M Definition.
  4. Click Import Calendar.

    The following file is created:

    %temp%\BMC_importedSAPcalendar_<account name>_<SAP calendar name>_<SAPcalendar year>.xml

  5. Copy this file to a computer where a Control-M/EM server is installed.
  6. Run the Control-M/EM defcal utility using this file.

    For more information about the defcal utility, see the Control-M Utilities.

  7. Upload the result of the defcal utility to the required Control-M/Server.

    The specified SAP calendar is imported.
