The Application Pack Deployment tool enables you to automatically install and upgrade Application Plug-ins on multiple Control-M/Agents from one single point of access.
The Application Pack Deployment allows you to upgrade to the new version of Application Pack with no down time on the Control-M/Agent. Application Pack jobs that are running during the upgrade continue to process to completion. Jobs that are submitted after the upgrade completes, are processed by the new version. The previous version installation files are deleted after a predefined set of time. The minimum requirement to run the deployment with no downtime is Application Pack 9.0.18.200.
This process eliminates the need to designate a maintenance period on every Control-M/Agent and eliminates the need to coordinate between application owners and Control-M Administrators. In addition, it reduces the total cost of ownership and makes administrative task transparent to business needs.
From the CCM, you can transfer the Application Pack software packages to multiple Control-M/Agents. After the transfer, you can then install or upgrade the Application Pack on the Control-M/Agents to version 9.0.18 and higher on UNIX and Windows.
