Adding interception rules to Control-M

This procedure describes how to add Control-M interception rules so that Control‑M for SAP can perform the required procedure when the specified condition has occurred.

To add interception rules to Control-M:

  1. From the CCM, right-click the Control-M for SAP on the host that you want to manage, and select Extractor Management.

The Extractor Management dialog box appears.

  2. From the Extractor Definitions area, in the Connection Profile Name field, select the required Connection Profile Name.
  3. In the CTM Interception Rules tab, click Add.

The Add Control-M Interception Rule dialog box appears.

  4. For each field, define the required value as described in Control-M Interception Rule parameters.

NOTE: Consider how you specify Job Name and User parameters. Definitions that are too general (for example, entering * in both fields), could cause system or other user jobs to be intercepted. Additionally, ensure that you have no more than one connection profile that uses Interception rules using the same system and client.

  5. Click OK.

The new Control-M interception rule is created.
