Defining an SAP R3 job

This procedure describes how to define an SAP R3 job.

Before You Begin

Ensure that you have met the following requirements:

To define an Control-M for SAP job:

  1. In the Connection Profile field, click Browse_new.

    The Connection Profile Selection dialog box appears.

  2. Select the connection profile that you want to use to run an SAP R3 job, and click OK.
  3. From the Action drop-down list, select one of the options as described in Action.
  4. For each field, type the required value, as described in SAP R3 parameters.
  5. If you select Creating a new job in the Action field, to add a new step in the Steps area, click Add_Parameter.

    The Add Step dialog box appears.

  6. From the Program Type drop-down list, select one of the following job step types:

    NOTE: To detect spawned jobs, ensure the following:

    NOTE: The additional options are not available for all Actions.

  8. Continue to define the job, as described in Using Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M.

    NOTE: To submit an FCC (Financial Closing cockpit) job, you must first create an FCC task of type, External Job. The Financial Closing cockpit application looks for the jobs created, or scheduled by external schedulers, and brings the job information back to the application. Use the task’s, Program and Variant values while defining the Control-M for SAP R3 job.
