Connection profile management

Before you can define a Control-M for SAP job in Control-M Workload AutomationControl-M, you need to create a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager, which enables you to connect to the required SAP server.

A connection profile contains the connection parameters to a specified SAP server, such as host name, port, user name, and password. By adding a connection profile to the Control-M Configuration Manager, you enable Control-M for SAP users to connect to the required SAP server with only the connection profile name.

Users then can run a job without having to provide authentication details every time they connect to the SAP server.

The following procedures describe how to create, edit, delete, test, copy, and export a connection profile in the Control-M Configuration Manager.
