Installing the Control-M Function Modules in a non Unicode SAP system

This procedure describes how to install the Control-M Function Modules (FMs) in a non Unicode SAP system. The Control-M Function Modules (FMs) are required to perform tasks that are not provided by the SAP standard BAPIs. They are Control-M for SAP specific APIs that enhance the functionality of SAP. A set of predefined Control-M FMs is provided together with Control-M for SAP.

You can set Control-M FMs in a Unicode system. For more information, see Installing the Control-M Function Modules in a Unicode SAP system. If you do not want to install Control-M FM, ensure that the Use Extended check box in Configuration Management is cleared. For more information, see Connection profile management.

Before you begin

Ensure you have the following SAP Transports located on the installation DVD:

• UNIX: <DVDROM_path>/Tools/Transports
• Windows: <DVDROM_path>\Tools\Transports

To install the Control-M Function Modules in a non Unicode SAP system:

1. Copy the transport files into the transport directory of the SAP system.
2. Remove the read-only attribute of the transport files copied from the DVD. This prevents problems with the import to the SAP system.

3. Use the SAP Transport Management System (transaction STMS) or the operating system executable program to import the required transport.
